What a wonderful experience meeting The Queen and The Duchess of Cornwall was in their respective roles for the Royal Voluntary Service, albeit virtually! My overriding memory, the Queen chuckling at something I said about my son who is also a Royal Voluntary Service Volunteer! Both Her Majesty and The Duchess put everyone at ease very quickly and I am so grateful that I have been able to meet the Queen who I have a great deal of respect and admiration for. She was the one constant in difficult times and I will remember her for her unwavering service, her sense of duty and the ability to make it all seem effortless!
